CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
SOWITION OF III I RECIRTION
TO
ROBERT BARNETT
Robert Barnett, after eight years as a member of the Board of
Trustees for the City of San Rafael Public Library, has retired from
that position as of April 2007; and
Mr. Barnett has been a staunch supporter of public library
services in San Rafael; and
Mr. Barnett has brought considerable professional expertise to
this position; and
Mr. Barnett has strongly advocated for a new San Rafael library
during his tenure on the Library Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Barnett has also contributed towards the establishment of the
San Rafael Public Library Foundation as a separate non-profit
entity with a goal of raising support and funds for the expansion
of the San Rafael Public Library; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Barnett has expressed interest in continuing to work with the
San Rafael Library Foundation as it builds community support for
our Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby commends Robert Barnett on his many contributions to the community
during his tenure with the City and wishes him well in all of his future endeavors on
behalf of the Library.
