A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FIVE REPLACEMENT VEHICLES FOR
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT PURSUANT TO THE FY 06-07
VEHICLE REPLACEMENT SCHEDULE (ONE FORD ESCAPE HYBRID
AND ONE FORD F250 DUMP TRUCK FROM FOLSOM LAKE FORD
TOTALING $47,215.59, AND THREE FORD F350 SD DUMP TRUCKS FROM
HENRY CURTIS FORD TOTALING $102,275.79)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, five Public Works trucks have reached or exceeded their scheduled
serviceable life as determined by the Fleet Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds in the City's Vehicle Replacement Fund to
purchase the proposed replacement vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Fleet Advisory Board has reviewed bid documents and vehicle life
information and supports replacement of the vehicles in question; and
WHEREAS, the vehicles have been competitively bid by three licensed dealerships; and
WHEREAS, Henry Curtis Ford and Folsom Lake Ford were the lowest responsive
bidders;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bids from Folsom Lake Ford for
one Ford Escape Hybrid and one Ford F250 dump truck totaling $47,215.59 and from Henry
Curtis Ford for three Ford F350 SD dump trucks totaling $102,275.79 are hereby accepted and
that the purchase orders for said vehicles in those amounts are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Operations and Maintenance Manager (Fleet
Manager) is hereby authorized to take any and all such actions and make changes as may be
necessary to accomplish the purpose of this Resolution.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City on the 21 S` day of May, 2007, by the following vote, to wit:
