HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 12301 (Vegetation Management List)RESOLUTION NO. 12301 A RESOLUTION SPECIFYING A LIST OF COMBUSTIBLE VEGETATION SUBJECT TO VEGETATION MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE WILDLAND-URBAN INTERFACE (WUI) WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 1856, which adds Chapter 4.12 to the San Rafael Municipal Code, entitled "Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) – Vegetation Management Standards", requiring vegetation management in the WUI; and WHEREAS, San Rafael Municipal Code Section 4.12.020 contained in such new Ordinance requires the City Council to adopt by Resolution a list of plants that constitute "combustible vegetation" subject to the City's vegetation management standards as specified in San Rafael Municipal Code Section 4.12.030. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. "Combustible vegetation" for purposes of San Rafael Municipal Code Section 4.12.020 shall mean that vegetation identified on the list marked as Exhibit "A" attached hereto. 2. This Resolution shall become effective on the effective date of Ordinance No. 1856. The foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the San Rafael City Council held on the 2°a day of July, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro NOES: Councilmembers: None ABSENT: Councilmembers: None U411— A JEA` Rs E M.
