A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE MARKED POLICE VEHICLE FROM
FOLSOM LAKE FORD IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,778.57, AS PART OF CALIFORNIA
MULTIPLE AWARD SCHEDULE CONTRACTS PROGRAM WHICH IS EXEMPT
FROM BID PROCESS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, one marked Police Department vehicle is at the replacement time
frame; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds in the City's Vehicle Replacement Fund to
purchase the replacement vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the Fleet Advisory Board has reviewed bid documents and vehicle
life information and supports replacement of the vehicles in question; and
WHEREAS, the City, as a participant in the California Multiple Award Schedule
Contracts program, also known as State Bids, is exempt from competitive bidding
requirements for the vehicle under San Rafael Municipal Code Section 2.55.260; and
WHEREAS, Folsom Lake Ford is a current approved dealer for the California
Multiple Award Schedule Contracts program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid from Folsom Lake Ford for
one marked Ford vehicle at the specified unit price is hereby accepted and that the
purchase order for said vehicle in those amounts is hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to
take any and all such actions and make changes as may be necessary to accomplish
the purpose of this Resolution.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City on the 4th day of September, 2007, by the following vote, to
wit:
