HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 13578 (First Five Marin)RESOLUTION NO. 13578 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A ONE YEAR CONTRACT( FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013-2014) WITH FIRST 5 MARIN (MARIN CHILDREN AND FAMILIES COMMISSION) FOR PRESCHOOL SERVICES AT PICKLEWEED PRESCHOOL AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $85,040 WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has been awarded a one year contract with The First 5 Marin (Marin children's and Families Commission) in the amount of $85,040; and WHEREAS, the City Council approves the contract and authorizes the City Manager to sign designated contract documents with First 5 of Marin (Marin Children's and Families Commission). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael enter into a contract in the amount of $85,040 with First 5 of Marin (Marin Children's and Families Commission) for Preschool Services, a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part thereof. I, ESTHER C. All and any other agreements executed under the original contract signed 6/22/11 are binding. The timelines of this contract amendment are from July 1. 2013 to June 30. 2014 Revised Exhibit A ? The "Contractor' agrees to the following terms and conditions in order to receive funds from Marin Children and Families Commission. The "Contractor" will maintain a tobacco -free workplace The "Contractor" will not accept any funding from the tobacco industry, including event sponsorship and in-kind contributions. The "Contractor" will purchase equipment that meets all applicable safety laws and standards. Both parties confirm their acceptance of this Contract Amendment by signing below.
