TO
THE 2015-2016
TERRA LINDA HIGH SCHOOL MOCK TRIAL TEAM
WHEREAS, the Marin County Office of Education sponsored the annual Marin
County High School Mock Trial Competition on January 28 and February 6, 2016;
and
WHEREAS, the Mock Trial Competition enables high school students to acquire a
working knowledge of the judicial system, develop analytical abilities and
communication skills, and gain an understanding of their obligations and
responsibilities as participating members in society, and
WHEREAS, the 2015-2016 Terra Linda team members prepared for many months
for their roles as lawyers, witnesses, court clerk and bailiff, and
WHEREAS, the Terra Linda team advanced to the final rounds of the competition for
the fifth time in the last seven years; and
WHEREAS, the Terra Linda team competed admirably with the County Champion
(and former State and National Champion) Tamalpais High School; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael do hereby commend Aspen Adams, Erin Charlton, Elena Cavender, Giulio
Chiappolini, Janine Grgurina, Julian Hinajosa, Nathan Kertz, Deborah Okpo, Dasha
Savinova, Espen Scheuer, Evann Schultz, Cora Shapiro, Everett Snell, Ian Swallow,
Patrick Swallow, Skyler Swann and Jeff Weiner for their excellence in the Marin
County Mock Trial Competition. These students have brought pride and honor to
the City of San Rafael a their achievements will long be remembered and
treasured by ur communi y.
