RESOLUTION NO. 10913
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
KATIE KORZUN
WHEREAS,
Katie has been a valued member of the San Rafael Economic
Development Department since April 24, 1989; and
WHEREAS,
Katie has worked tirelessly and enthusiastically for the revitalization
of Downtown and the entire Redevelopment Project Area; and
WHEREAS,
Through Katie's efforts with the San Rafael community, Our Vision of
Downtown was implemented and has been a pivotal part of
Downtown redevelopment; and
WHEREAS,
Katie has managed numerous redevelopment projects, most notably
the Rafael Film Center, Rafael Town Center, Court Street Plaza,
Parkside Childcare, Downtown sidewalks and beautification, and
Mahon Path; and
WHEREAS,
Katie, in her role as parking "czarina", has a deep and abiding
passion for motor vehicles and their temporary resting sites, a.k.a.
parking spaces; and
WHEREAS,
Katie has personally planted, nursed, and is on a first name basis
with numerous Downtown trees; and
WHEREAS,
Katie is respected and appreciated for her professionalism, her
commitment to San Rafael, and for her incredible sense of humor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby designate Katie Korzun as the Employee of the Quarter for the
second quarter of 2001 and express sincere appreciation for her dedication,
professionalism and outstanding service to the City of San Rafael.
