RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
DISSOLVING THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Volunteer Program Advisory Committee was created in 1995 to help
establish and develop a City-wide Volunteer Program; and
WHEREAS, the Volunteer Program Advisory Committee was reconfigured in 1997 to
become an active, hands-on committee whose official focus was to be
community events and activities; and
WHEREAS, the Volunteer Program Advisory Committee has contributed time and
expertise toward the completion of numerous projects that support the
successful operation of the Volunteer Program and the City; and
WHEREAS, the Volunteer Program Advisory Committee has established a host of
community projects including the annual Spring and Fall Cleanup Days, an
annual Daffodil Planting Day and a Canal Beautification Project, and
WHEREAS, the Volunteer Program of the City of San Rafael is well-established and
running efficiently, thereby fulfilling the purposes of the Volunteer Program
Advisory Committee.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES that the
Volunteer Program Advisory Committee be dissolved.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular
meeting of the City Council of said city held on Monday the fifth day of November 2001
by the following vote, to wit:
