RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF
FUNDS TO CONSTRUCT MEDIAN LANDSCAPE
IMPROVEMENTS ON PT. SAN PEDRO ROAD FROM
MAIN DRIVE TO KNIGHT DRIVE
WHEREAS, THE City Council has encouraged partnering projects with those
neighborhoods interested in improving the medians in their areas; and,
WHEREAS, the Glenwood Homeowners Association has expressed its interest
and commitment with the City by offering to fund one half the cost of improving the medians
in its neighborhood; and,
WHEREAS, The City Council has budgeted certain funds to meet its goal of
funding partnerships with interested neighborhoods.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael does hereby authorize the expenditure of funds to complete landscaping
improvements on Pt. San Pedro Road from Main Drive to Knight Drive and authorizes staff to
call for competitive bids.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves the advance of
funds to the Glenwood Homeowners Association in the amount of $15,000 to be repaid in three
years at $5,000 per year and accepts the initial payment of $10,000.

that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 19th day of November, 2001, by the
following vote, to wit:
