HAROLD "HUTCH" HUTCHINSON
arold Hutch" Hutchinson has been a member of the San Rafael
om October 1980 to July 2000 serving as a uniformed officer and
WHERRAS, Hutch worked tirelessly in service to the community in a variety of
assignments including Crimes Against Persons and Fraud Detective, the Street Crimes
Unit and as a Field Training Officer for seventeen years and as a member of the Police
Department SWAT negotiation team; and
WHEREAS, all those who met Hutch in connection with his law enforcement
duties were greeted with enthusiasm, treated with respect and impressed by his
dedication; and
WHEREAS, Hutch made an especially important contribution as one of the
department's first bi-lingual officers, tirelessly addressing the needs of a large, and
often under -served segment of our population, thereby supporting the department's
mission of providing quality service to all members of the community; and
WHEREAS, Hutch was honorably retired from the San Rafael Police
Department in July 2000 following 20 years of dedicated service to our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby express their sincerest appreciation to Corporal Harold Hutch"
Hutchinson for his 20 years of dedicated service and on behalf of all the citizens of our
community wish him well in the future.
