CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
ROBERT "BOB" MCEACHERN
WHEREAS, Robert "Bob" McEachern has been a member of the San Rafael
Police Department's Reserve Officer force from 1972 to 2001; and
wnr;rvAS, Bob worked tirelessly, contributing literally thousands of hours of
volunteer time in service to the community, seeking nothing more than the
opportunity to serve and in so doing, displayed uncommon dedication to the
department and the community; and
WHEREAS, Bob's efforts contributed substantially to the successful conclusion
of a wide variety of significant cases; among them the seizure of a large cache of
marijuana with an estimated value of $100,000; and
WHEREAS, Bob has served as a dedicated, enthusiastic volunteer member of
the department's Marine Patrol, spending countless hours in a wide array of marine
patrol operations and helping make the program a success; and
WHEREAS, Bob was honorably retired from the San Rafael Police Department
in 2001 following an unprecedented term of volunteer service to our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby express their sincerest appreciation to Officer Robert McEachern for his
29 years of dedicated service and on behalf of all the citizens of our community wish
him well in the future.
