A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL AWARDING PURCHASE ORDER FOR ONE PARKING
ENFORCEMENT VEHICLE TO MUNICIPAL MAINTENANCE
EQUIPMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $21,400.32
WHEREAS, one of the City's parking enforcement vehicles have reached
the scheduled end of their useful life and have met the requirements for replacement; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Maintenance Equipment is the only manufacturer /
supplier of parking enforcement vehicles which meets the City's requirements and
specifications, and therefore, is "sole source" for this item; and
WHEREAS, pursuant for section 2.55.0701) of the San Rafael Municipal
Code, sole source procurement need not comply with competitive bidding requirements;
WHEREAS, on September 10, 2001, the Fleet Advisory Board reviewed
the quotes solicited and received from Municipal Maintenance Equipment and found them
to be appropriate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
San Rafael as follows:
1. All of the facts recited above are true and correct;

2. Municipal Maintenance Equipment is the "sole source" for parking enforcement
vehicles meeting the City's requirements and specifications;
3. The bid of Municipal Maintenance Equipment is accepted at said unit price for
parking enforcement vehicle and the purchase order for said vehicle is awarded to
Municipal Maintenance Equipment at the unit price quoted in said bid, in an
amount not to exceed $21,400.32.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City on the 17th day of December, 2001, by the
following vote, to wit:
