RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REPLACEMENT OF ONE STREET SWEEPER IN THE
AMOUNT OF $127,088, FROM GCS WESTERN POWER AND EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael utilized the State of California's bid
system, on February 5, 2001 for proposals, for purchase of a street sweeper; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael entered into an Agreement, purchasing
one street sweeper in the amount of $127,088 from GCS Western Power and Equipment;
and
WHEREAS, in the 2001/2002 budget, the City Council approved the
purchase of the replacement of a second street sweeper and the current vendor will be
honoring our original bid of $127,088 for the replacement of the second vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department reviewed said vehicle
specifications and has determined that this vehicle meets the needs of this community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
San Rafael that the original purchase order for the said equipment is hereby amended to
include the purchase of a second street sweeper for the original unit bid of $127,088.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of
the Council of said City on the 2"a day of July, 2001, by the following vote, to wit:
