RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
ASSOCIATION OF BAY AREA GOVERNMENTS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO
THE SHORELINE PARK SECTION OF THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY TRAIL
WHEREAS, the State Legislature has established funding for 2000/2001
for the Regional Development Program which is managed by the Bay
Trail Project of the Association of Bay Area Governments; and
WHEREAS, through the Program, grant funds may be awarded to local jursidictions
to construct undeveloped segments of the San Francisco Bay Trail
pursuant to established requirements; and
WHEREAS, said requirements established by the Association for Bay Area
Governments require the applicant to acknowledge submission of the
grant proposal, identify authorized representatives, and designate the
person authorized to execute a grant agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application for funding under the
Association of Bay Area Governments' Bay Trail Regional
Development Program; and
2. Identifies Richard Landis of the San Rafael Public Works as the
City of San Rafael representative; and
3. Designates Rod Gould, City Manager, to execute a grant agreement
should funding become available; and
4. Agrees to enter into a formal partnership agreement with the
Association of Bay Area Governments before dispersal of funds.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council of said City held on Monday, the 2nd day of April, 2001 by the
following vote to wit:
