ITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
MICHAEL MAHONEY
WHEREAS, Richard P. O'Brien was a long time San Rafael Planning
Commissioner and active Community leader; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Michael Mahoney has donated $25,000 towards the
establishment of the Richard P. O'Brien Endowment; and
WHEREAS, each year the San Rafael Planning Commission will
present an award to a "Citizen of San Rafael who best
exemplifies the traits of uncommon courage, compassion
and integrity", as exemplified by Richard O'Brien;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of the City of San Rafael hereby expresses its sincerest
appreciation to Michael Mahoney for his generosity in the establishment of
the Richard P. O'Brien Endowment Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that by the establishment of this
endowment fund, Richard P. O'Brien's good deeds and integrity will
continue to live on in our hearts.
