CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
DOROTHY CULLEN VESECKY
WHEREAS, Dorothy Cullen Vesecky has been Chairperson of the Pickleweed
Advisory Board (PWAB) since June of 1999, nurturing its growth and
transforming it into a fully functioning board; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy is committed to making the Pickleweed Community Center a
place for all residents of the neighborhood, a place where children can play
and learn in a safe, enriching, and healthy environment; and
WHEREAS, As part of a tremendous outreach effort, Dorothy has walked the
neighborhoods, passing out surveys and placing suggestion boxes in
businesses and local agencies to get input from Canal residents on the
Pickleweed Center expansion and engender participation in public
meetings; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy is a role model for great community leadership; she cares deeply,
has great humility, works hard on behalf of the community, has great
empathy for those with a smaller voice while working hard to ensure that
their voice is heard, and stands by her word;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby commends Dorothy Vesecky for her tireless and selfless efforts on behalf
of the City of San Rafael.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council recognizes Dorothy Vesecky as one of San
Rafael's most valued community leaders.
