A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE REPLACEMENT AND PURCHASE
OF MISCELLANEOUS POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLES
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael utilizes the State of California's bid
system, whereby the State having initiated sealed bids, or proposals, for vehicles to be
purchased by the State, has adopted purchasing criteria as outlined in the City of San
Rafael Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael is utilizing the State bid procedure to
purchase miscellaneous police sedans in accordance with the vehicle specifications on file
in the State of California's Department of General Procurement Division, and has obtained
responsible bids from three (3) police motorcycle dealers for the purchase of police
motorcycles; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department reviewed said vehicle specifications
and bids and has determined that the vehicles meet the needs of this community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
San Rafael that the items described in the bid documents and as attached to the staff
a'GP4AL
report, are hereby accepted and that the purchase orders for the said equipment be hereby
authorized.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
said City on the 7th day of May, 2001, by the following vote, to wit:
