CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
MIA KATZ
WHEREAS, Mia Katz has been active in San Rafael as a resident of the Santa Margarita
Neighborhood and as a student at Terra Linda High School; and
WHEREAS, In September, 2000, Mia was appointed by the San Rafael City Council to
the North San Rafael Vision In Action (VIA) Committee charged with
creating an action plan to promote and sponsor projects to implement Vision
North San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Mia served for nine months to implement the goals and policies of Vision
North San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Mia was a voice for the interests of youth to improve youth services, and to
promote and facilitate youth activities; and
WHEREAS, Mia attended the VIA Committee meetings and prepared very complete and
professionally prepared meeting notes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mia Katz for her substantial contribution of time and
effort to implement Vision North San Rafael, and for her commitment to the betterment of the
San Rafael community.
