CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
RICHARD HAMILTON
WHEREAS, On January 1, 2001, San Rafael Firefighter, Richard Hamilton
was driving along Highway 101; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter Hamilton noticed two California Highway Patrol
Officers in need of assistance on the side of the highway; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter Hamilton helped Officers Heinlein and McAffee
wrestle a suspect to the ground, allowing them to handcuff and
arrest the suspect; and
WHEREAS, Firefighter Hamilton displayed bravery and courage by willing
to get involved; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby commends Firefighter Richard Hamilton for
his courage and willingness to go above and beyond thea call of duty to aid
others.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council recognizes Firefighter
Hamilton as a modern day good Samaritan and is proud that he is a
member of the San Rafael Fire Department.
