CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
EMIL R. BETTINI
WHEREAS, Emil R. Bettini, Police Dept. Volunteer, has been serving as a
volunteer with the City of San Rafael since November 9, 1988, and has donated 12,459 hours of
service to this department; and
WHEREAS, Emil almost single handedly revitalized the San Rafael Police
Department's Neighborhood Watch Program, obtaining the cooperation and involvement of the
citizens of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Emil has been the sole driving force behind maintaining the
Neighborhood Watch Program, encouraging citizens to join, organizing meetings, providing
information, and being the glue that has kept the program running; and
WHEREAS, Emil has taken on the responsibility to expand the Volunteer
Program within the Police Department, by finding qualified citizens that were willing to get
involved and help make our community a better place; and
WHEREAS, Emil has devoted an exorbitant amount of time to the San Rafael
Police Department, by riding along with officers on the street, and offering assistance whenever
possible to both officers and citizens of San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council
of San Rafael hereby extend their appreciation and thanks to Emil R. Bettini for his outstanding
and dedicated so�vice to the
