CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WE
CLYDE DOOLITTLE
WHEREAS, Clyde Doolittle, Police Dept. Volunteer, has served as a
volunteer with the City of San Rafael since August 1, 1988 and continuously until his
retirement on July 21, 1999. Clyde has donated 5,960 hours of service to this
department; and
WHEREAS, Clyde has served with enthusiasm and loyalty in the Crime
Prevention Office for more than 10 years; and
WHEREAS, Clyde gave his time unstintingly, reporting for work daily,
five days a week, and every volunteer hour he donated helped to relieve the police
workload; and
WHEREAS, Clyde cheerfully completed all assignments asked of him,
and he has been a constant source of support and encouragement; and
WHEREAS, Every year Clyde completed all the tasks associated with the
Annual Volunteer Luncheon. Clyde saw to the restaurant and menu selection, as well as
the preparation and management of invitations, and the documentation of all Volunteer
hours worked during a given year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of San Rafael hereby extend their appreciation and thanks to Clyde Doolittle for
his outstanding and dedicated service to the City Iolunteer.
