CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
WALT LOCKETT
WHEREAS, Walt Lockett, Police Dept. Volunteer, has been serving as a
volunteer with the City of San Rafael since the inception of the volunteer program,
January 1, 1988, and has donated 2,894 hours of service to this department; and
WHEREAS, Walt has had many different duties over the course of his
service, such as, marking and towing abandoned vehicles, serving witness subpoenas and
taking on the duties of the Volunteer Coordinator.
WHEREAS, Walt has been the driving force behind the San Rafael Police
Department's Vacation House Check Program, helping to develop it into an extremely
well organized and functional program; and
WHEREAS, Walt has devoted countless hours and tireless energy into
coming to the San Rafael Police Department several days a week, rain or shine, and then
going out to check the homes of citizens that were away on vacation, and always with a
ready smile on his face.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of San Rafael hereby extend their appreciation and thanks to Walt Lockett for his
outstanding and dedicated service to the City of San Rafael a member of the Police
Department Volunteer Program..
