CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
JOHN McGINNIS
WHEREAS, John McGinnis, Police Dept. Volunteer, began working for
the City of San Rafael in April of 1989 as a Marine Auxiliary Volunteer on the City's
Police Boat; and
WHEREAS, John volunteers his time assisting in patrolling the
waterways of San Rafael. John spends most of his weekends and holidays working on the
Patrol Boat, for many long hours and often at night; and
WHEREAS, John can always be counted on to work as an effective
member of the Patrol Boat. John is always looking for ways to improve his performance
as a crewmember. He is also eager to assist in the training of new crew members; and
WHEREAS, John is dedicated to the community, frequently volunteering
to help with training outlines and yearly operations statistics. John has enrolled in first aid
classes to improve his service to the boating public; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the time of his service with the City, John has
received many letters of thanks while working as a Marine Auxiliary Volunteer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of San Rafael hereby extend their appreciation and thanks to John McGinnis for
his outstanding and dedicated service to the City of San Rafa as a Police Department
Volunteer.
