HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 10594 (Community Oriented Policing)RESOLUTION NO. 10594 RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING USE OF STATE COPS PROGRAM SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $121,153.34 FOR COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING Whereas, the California State Legislature passed Assembly Bill 1584 which continued the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund and allocated $121,153.34 to the City of San Rafael; and, Whereas, AB 1584 mandated this money be spent for front line law enforcement purposes: and, Whereas, the City Council has set a priority of implementing Community Oriented Public Safety; and, Whereas, the City Council has previously approved the use of SLESF money for police overtime for Community Oriented Policing during the 1999/2000 city budget hearings; and, Whereas, the Marin County's Supplemental Law Enforcement Oversight Committee requires a spending plan for final approval of fund use; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use of $121,153.34 in Supplemental Law Enforcement Services funds for police overtime for Community Oriented Policing. I, Jeanne Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the San Rafael City Council meeting held on the 22nd day of February, 2000 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips & Mayor Boro NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ,.
