RESOLUTION NO. 10621
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOWITION OF 11PPRECIATION
TO
PEACOCK GARDEN CLUB
WHEREAS, the National Arbor Day Foundation has designated the City
of San Rafael as a Tree City USA; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael takes great pride in its urban
reforestation program; and
WHEREAS, the Peacock Garden Club is also dedicated to preserving and
improving the quality of life in the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, on April 17, 2000, members of the Peacock Garden Club
will show their commitment to the City of San Rafael by engaging in an Arbor Day Tree
Planting Project at historic Gerstle Park, at the lawn area above the main entry steps,
commemorating Arbor Day Celebration; and
WHEREAS, the Council greatly acknowledges the generous offer of
$150 to the City from the Peacock Garden Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Mayor
and City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby expresses its sincere appreciation to
the Peacock Garden Club for its continuing efforts in endeavoring to make the quality of
life better for the citizens of San Rafael.
