RESOLUTION NO. 10629
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
LARRY SALVISBERG
WHEREAS, Larry Salvisberg began working for the. City of San Rafael in 1997, as an
Assistant Code Enforcement Officer. From November 1998 to June 1999,
Larry maintained a three person office by himself, and since March 1, 2000
he has been the Acting Code Enforcement Manager, again assuming the
caseload of three officers.
WHEREAS, Larry has taken on problems with illegal street vendors, signs, illegal
dwelling units, accumulated solid waste, businesses violating conditions of
approval, as well as substandard housing.
WHEREAS, Larry has inspected over 1,100 apartment units in the Canal, and has been
instrumental in improving the safety and quality of housing in this
neighborhood. In one complex alone he identified one thousand violations.
WHEREAS, Larry routinely works with Community Policing, the Fire and the Building
and Safety Division and is an active participant in the Health & Safety
Committee to coordinate enforcement efforts in a team approach.
WHEREAS, Larry is a resident of the Canal, and has acted as an internal advocate and
member of the Canal Development Team to improve City interactions with
that neighborhood.
WHEREAS, Larry has put in countless extra hours to insure code compliance in a
timely manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby designate Larry Salvisberg as Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2000. And,
express sincere appreciation to Larry for his dedication, professionalism and outstanding service
to the Ci of San Rafael.
