RESOLUTION NO. 10630
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR AWARD WINNING
MARKETING EFFORTS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
WHEREAS, the Community Services Department set a goal in 1998 to increase
visibility and identity in the community; and
WHEREAS, the Department researched and develop a marketing strategy, logo
identity, and publicity formats; and
WHEREAS, the strategy was successfully launched in January of 1999; and
WHEREAS, the California Park and Recreation Society selected the City of San Rafael
for the State Awards of Excellence for Agency Logo Design and Agency Family Guide
and the Special State Award of Merit for Facilities Guide;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council hereby
recognizes Community Services Department for the award winning marketing efforts
that have increased the City's visibility and identity in parks, recreation programs and
facilities, and child care services.
