CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF flPPRECIflT10N
TO
DON VAUGHN
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, Don Vaughn began his employment with the City of San
Rafael in 1969; and
WHEREAS, Don has advanced "through the ranks" from an Equipment/
Water Truck Operator to Street Maintenance Supervisor; and
WHEREAS, Don has served as Street Maintenance Supervisor for
thirteen and a half years; and
WHEREAS, Don has "weathered" a number of declared disasters,
working many long hours, directing his crews to open roads, clear slides and pump storm
water; and
WHEREAS, Don was selected as the Employee of the Quarter in 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby thanks Don for his 31 years of dedicated service to the citizens of
San Rafael. Don has made a real difference in the quality of life in our community. The
City Council further resolves to wish Don the very best in his well deserved retirement
and wishes him health and prosperity.
