RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE SAN RAFAEL PUBLIC LIBRARY
TO JOIN THE GOLDEN GATEWAY LIBRARY NETWORK
WHEREAS, the State of California has established the Library of California and seven regional
networks to improve library services state-wide and regionally, and
WHEREAS, the Golden Gateway Library Network has been established to increase access to
information resources, to improve library technology, and to improve library services throughout
the region, and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Public Library perceives the benefits of joining the Golden
Gateway Library Network, and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Public Library agrees to comply with all provisions of the Library
of California Act and Regulations and conditions of membership, and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Public Library agrees that it will:
➢ Share resources and services with other members of the Golden Gateway Library
Network
➢ Provide resources and services for other members of the Golden Gateway Library
Network
➢ Meet the minimum resource -sharing performance standards of the Golden Gateway
Library Network
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby authorizes membership of the San Rafael Public Library in the Golden Gateway Library
Network, and further authorizes the Library Director to sign the Golden Gateway Library
Network Membership Application Form.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday the Sixteenth day of October, 2000 by the following
vote to wit:

Instructions:
Membership in the Library of California's Region 2, also known as the Golden Gateway
Library Network, requires cornpletion of this application. Membership requirements are
detailed on page 4.
Please submit the required information (type or print legibly). The application form may
also be downloaded from the web site: http://www.goldengateway.org. The
application should be submitted by June 15, 2000 to meet the charter membership
deadline, but GGLN will continue to accept applications throughout the year.
