PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION

Richard D. Wolfe, M.D.
WHET�EA3, Dr. Richard D. Wolfe has served on the San Rafael Park and Recreation
Commission since 1984 and has been a champion for youth and adult sports programs; and
WHE'REA_S, Dr. Wolfe has served two terms on the Pickleweed Advisory Board; and
WHEREA_S, Dr. Wolfe contributed to the masterplans for Albert, Boyd, Freitas, Pickleweed,
Terra linda Pool, and Shoreline parks and Mahon Creek and Falkirk Cultural Center; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wolfe has been instrumental in the development of Peacock and Shoreline
Parks and the renovation of Albert's Field, Albert Park, Bernard Hoffman Park, Boyd Park,. Bret
Hart Park, Freitas Park, Gerstle Park, Parkside Child Care Center, Picklweed Park and Fields,
Sun Valley Park, Terra Linda Playground, Victor Jones Park; and
WHEREA-5, Dr. Wolfe was an active participant in the policies regarding park use, Bocce
Complex, recreation center use, tennis court key sales, gifts and donations, median and park
maintenance levels; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Wolfe consistently, fairly and graciously represented all the residents of San
Rafael in the fulfillment of his responsibilities as a Park and Recreation Commissioner; and
WHETREA3, the sound judgment, perspective and humor of Dr. Wolfe were valued assets to
the Park and Recreation Commission;
