CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
John Haeuser
WHEREAS, John Haeuser has served on the San Rafael Public Library Board of
Trustees from May 4, 1987 to January 31, 1999, giving generously of his time to work
for a library that is responsive to community needs and financially strong; and
WHEREAS, during John's tenure on the Library Board he has overseen
tremendous advances in library service to the community, including: the
implementation of the MARINet automated system; the development of a strong
Friends of the San Rafael Public Library; the reinstitution of Monday hours and the
institution of Sunday hours
WHEREAS, as a member of the Library Board, John was a source of creative
ideas and common sense, and a fount of erudition and good humor
WHEREAS, John has been a strong advocate for the Library to the community
and the City Council and has distinguished himself as a Trustee of the San Rafael
Public Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby commends John Haeuser on his twelve years of exemplary service to the
community as a Trustee of the San Rafael Public Library.
