CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
LARRY PAUL
WHEREAS, the City Council received Vision North Sat Rafael in November of 1997.
The Vision is the result of a community -wide effort to describe the future of
the northern half of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, in March, 1998, the City Council appointed a twelve member North $an
Rafael Vision In Action (VIA) Committee) charged with creating an action
plan, and promoting and sponsoring projects which will implement the
Vision; and
WHEREAS, the VIA Committee identified the North San Rafael Promenade as a priority
in the 1998-1999 Committee action plan; and
WHEREAS, Larry Paul, co-chair of the VIA Committee, was one of the twelve volunteer
professional designers who participated in an all day design workshop on
May 1, 1999 by sketching design concepts for the promenade project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Larry Paul for his generous contribution
of time and effort to sketch creative design ideas for the promenade project,
specifically for incorporating Palm trees in his sketches and for his design
work in the area of Scotty's Market and the Freitas and Del Ganado
intersection.
