CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS,
TO
JEAN VON BARGEN
the City Council received Vision North San Rafael in November of 1997.
The Vision is the result of a community -wide effort to describe the future of
the northern half of San Rafael; and
in March, 1998, the City Council appointed a twelve member North San
Rafael Vision In Action (VIA) Committee) charged with creating an action
plan, and promoting and sponsoring projects which will implement the
Vision; and
the VIA Committee identified the North San Rafael Promenade as a priority
in the 1998-1999 Committee action plan; and
WHEREAS, Jean Von Bargen was one of twelve volunteer professional designers who
participated in an all day design workshop on May 1, 1999 by sketching
design concepts for the promenade project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby express
sincere appreciation and gratitude to Jean Von Bargen for her generous contribution of time
and effort to sketch creative design ideas for the promenade project.
