CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION

LYNN EMRICH
Whereas, Lynn Emrich began working for the City of San Rafael on
January 5, 1996 as Volunteer Program Manager at the inception of the
Volunteer Program; and
Whereas, under Lynn's direction, the Volunteer Program has blossomed
to encompass Clean-up Days, Fall Daffodil Bulb Planting, Business
Beautification Awards, an annual Volunteer Appreciation Event and
collaborations with numerous community organizations on a variety of
projects and events, yet Lynn still found time to serve as Chairperson of
the City's Charitable Giving Committee for one year; and
Whereas, Lynn has carefully nurtured the volunteers in the City Concierge
Program and worked diligently to ensure the successful opening of City
Hall at the Mall: and
Whereas, in the three years that Lynn has managed the Volunteer
Program, it has grown to over 80,000 volunteer hours being contributed
annually, which are valued in excess of $1,500,000; and
Whereas, Lynn has recently resigned her position in order to pursue other
interests.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby expresses appreciation to LYNN EMRICH for her dedication
and outstanding service to the City of San Rafael, and wishes Lynn much
succ�s i her futu� end avols.
