ZITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOWITION OF 11PPRECUITION
TO
CAROL ADNEY
WHEREAS, Carol Adney, after eleven years as Cultural Affairs
Supervisor for the City of San Rafael, is leaving to become the
Development Director of Coachella Valley Campus of California State
University, San Bernadino; and
WHEREAS, The eleven years that Carol has been in charge of
Falkirk Cultural Center, and cultural programs has been a time of
tremendous growth and success for Cultural Affairs; and
WHEREAS, In that time annual attendance has grown from 10,000
to 40,000, grant income has increased substantially, and volunteer
involvement at Falkirk has reached an all-time high; and
WHEREAS, During Carol's tenure Falkirk has garnered nation-
wide recognition by receiving the prestigious Institute of Museum
Services grant, and had one of its exhibitions, Ancestral Memories,
shown at the Smithsonian Museum, and had another exhibit, Guerilla
Girls, travel to seventeen museums throughout the country.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby commends Carol Adney on her many
contributions to the community during her tenure with the City and
wishes her well in all of her future endeavors.
