A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF DOWNTOWN
STREETS FOR THE MILLENNIUM PARTY 2000
WHEREAS, the Millennium Party 2000 event necessitates the temporary closure of several
downtown streets as specified below:
Monday, December 20, 1999, 7:00 am - Monday, January 3, 7:00 nm
• Albert Park Lane Between B Street to Lindaro Street
Thursday, December 306'° 12:00 noon - Sunday Jan 2, 9:00 nm
• 5th Avenue Between D Street & B Street
• C Street between 4d' & Mission Avenue
Thursday. December 3&, 7:00 am - Sunday Jan 2, 9:00 nm
• Lindaro Between 2nd Street & 3"d Street
Friday, December 31,1:00 nm - Saturday, January 1, 2:00 am
• 4d' Street Between B Street to A Street
• 4t` Street Between A Street to Lootens
• 0 Street Between Lootens to Cijos
• Andersen Between 2nd Street and Lindaro Street
Friday, December 31, 3:00 nm - January 1 't 4:00 am
• 5d' Avenue Between B Street & Court Street

WHEREAS, after reviewing plans for the event and the traffic patterns, City staff has determined
and recommended that, in the interest of the safety and welfare of pedestrian and auto traffic in the
downtown area, the above streets in the downtown should be temporarily closed to through traffic
for the dates and times described above.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That all of the above findings are true and correct;
3. That, pursuant to the authority of Vehicle Code section 21101(e), for the safety and
protection of persons, both pedestrians and vehicle drivers, the City Council hereby
authorizes the temporary closure of the above listed streets and parking lots for the
dates and times described above.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of San Rafael, held on Monday, the sixth day of December, 1999, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller and Mayor Boro
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: Phillips
