CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
GEORGE R. EMEHISER
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, George R. Emehiser, Parks Department, Groundsworker II,
began his career with the City of San Rafael on May 5, 1969 and is planning to retire,
completing in excess of 30 years service with the City; and
WHEREAS, George has been a dedicated and valued member of the
Department of Public Works; and

WHEREAS, George has amassed some amazing statistics during his long

cleanliness and good appearance of Fourth Street; and
WHEREAS, George has mowed over 18,000 acres, which is the
equivalent of 17,000 football fields; and
WHEREAS, George has decided to retire at the stroke of midnight of the
new millennium, December 31, 1999;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby extends its appreciation and thanks to George for his hard work and
dedicated service. The Council wishes him the very best in his well deserved retirement.
