A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING RESOLUTION 10541 TO AUTHORIZE THE TEMPORARY
CLOSING OF THREE ADDITIONAL STREETS FOR MILLENNIUM PARTY 2000
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized by Resolution 10541 the temporary closing of numerous City
streets in the downtown area to facilitate the public safety during the Millennium Party 2000; and,
WHEREAS, the City's Traffic Engineer has further reviewed plans and traffic patterns for the Millennium
Party and has recommended that three additional streets be closed to ensure the public health, safety and
welfare during the Millennium party 2000;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Based upon the same findings contained therein, Resolution 10541 is hereby amended to add the
following streets to the list of those downtown area streets to be temporarily closed for the millennium Party
2000:
Friday. December 31.6:OOnm- Saturday. January 1". 2:00 a.m.
Mission Street, between Court Street and `B" Street
"B" Street, from south of the southernmost Safeway parking lot driveway to Taylor Street
Wednesday. December 29.8:00 am - January 2.9:00 n.m.
Northbound lane only of A Street, between Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue
However, on the closed sections of B Street and Mission Streets, alternate routes or other access shall
be provided for residents living on the closed portions of these streets.
Additional streets may be closed prior, during after the Millennium Party 2000 as determined
necessary by the City's Traffic Engineer or Chief of Police or Chief of Police's his designee.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of San
Rafael, held on the 20th day of December, 1999, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: None
