RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL WAIVING PAYMENT
OF FEES FOR THE USE PERMIT AND BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS
FOR MARIN PEOPLE CARE TEMPORARY DETOXIFICATION FACILITY
(HELEN VINE CENTER) LOCATED AT THE FORMER HONOR FARM SITE
ON SMITH RANCH ROAD, NORTH END (SILVEIRA RANCHES PROPERTY)
WHEREAS, on November 24, 1998 Marin People Care, a non-profit corporation,
submitted a use permit application for a 12 -bed temporary detoxification center located
on the former honor farm site on Silveira Ranches property at the north end of Smith
Ranch Road (AP 155-120-015); and
WHEREAS, Marin People Care submitted a December 1, 1998 letter requesting a fee
waiver in the amount of $1,900.00 for a use permit application and for building permit
fees for a temporary detoxification center on the former honor farm site at the north end
of Smith Ranch Road.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of San Rafael that the
requirement for payment of application fees for the use permit and building permits is
hereby waived; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any application fees which have been paid to date
for this use permit shall be refunded to the applicant.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City on Monday, the twenty-first day of December, 1998, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Miller, Phillips and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen
