RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION

GREG CELLA
WHEREAS, Greg Cella has been a member of the San Rafael Police
Department since August 29, 1983, and has been assigned to Patrol, Traffic and
Training, and
WHEREAS, during that time, Greg has been unfailingly courteous and
friendly, not only In his day-to-day Interactions with his coworkers, but also with
the general public; and
WHEREAS, he shows initiative and creativity in the performance of his
duties. A good example of these traits is his idea of establishing a Major
Accident Investigations Team (MAIn within the department, for which he
collected donations from the community, and
WHEREAS, Greg is responsive to the needs of others and enthusiastic in
his dealings with his coworkers, as is demonstrated by his active promotion of
the Employee Recognition Program, of which he was an initial member, and
WHEREAS, Greg is willing to take the extra measure, to extend himself
above and beyond his normal duties, not only with respect to his fellow
employees, but in connection with the larger community, as well.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby designates GREG CELLA as Employee of the Quarter for
the period ending June 30, 1998, and expresses appreciation, on behalf of all of
its residents, for his dedication and outstanding service to our city.
