RESOLUTION OFAPPRECIATION
AND COMMENDATION
RESOLUTION NO. 10290
TO
CAROL DILLON
WHEREAS, Carol, as a resident of North San Rafael since 1978, has been active
in many facets of community affairs, always as an able and fair advocate for her causes;
and
WHEREAS, through her work on Vision North San Rafael, she brought to the
committee her insights about local transportation and housing needs, and
WHEREAS, she was known for her interest in the health and vitality of our
downtown, serving on numerous subcommittees to further the betterment of that most
important area of our City, and
WHEREAS, she is also to be commended for her aid in sparking the City's
Volunteer Program, and
WHEREAS, during her many years of commitment to the welfare of our City and
its residents, Carol also promoted transit use, advocated for a strong pedestrian
environment and supported housing in the downtown, always firm in her convictions, yet
friendly and gentle in her manner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael, on behalf of all of its residents, hereby commends Carol Dillon for the time and
effort she has expended and the good will she has created in making San Rafael a
special place to live.
