CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
PHYLLIS HUFFMAN
WHEREAS, Phyllis Huffman began her career with the City of San Rafael as an
Administrative Aide in the Police Department in January, 1985. She was promoted to
the position of Personnel Technician in the Human Resources Department in
November,1994, and
WHEREAS, Phyllis is recognized for her ongoing commitment to work excellence and
her willingness and ability to successfully step up to the challenge of an increasing and
broadened set of responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, Phyllis' efforts in single-handedly producing the quarterly employee
newsletter, coordinating the monthly Brown Bag Training Program, and her increased
efforts in coordinating employee benefits are greatly appreciated by all employees; and
WHEREAS, Phyllis recognizes that all employees are part of one big team. Towards
that end, she is active on the Wellness, City Hall at the Mall, and Information Services
Committees and is a former member of the Employee Recognition Committee; and
WHEREAS, there were many challenges in 1997 that Phyllis met with much success.
Her friendliness and professionalism are constant. She is an admired and respected
employee who is the personification of an Employee of the Year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael hereby designate PHYLLIS HUFFMAN as 1997s Employee of the Year and
express sincere appreciation to Phyllis for her dedication and outstanding service to the
City of San Rafael.
