HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 10037 - 10155 (El Nino Service)RESOLUTION NO. 10155 CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLUTION OF PRECI ] PRESENTED TO Rod Gould WHEREAS, the forecasts for powerful winter storms caused by the meteorological phenomenon known as El Nino became a reality when the City of San Rafael experienced several major winter storms during the first weeks of February, 1998; and WHEREAS, on February 2, 1998, the City Manager of the City of San Rafael declared a local emergency because of these storms; and WHEREAS, area -wide flooding occurred along Francisco Boulevard East from Bay Street to Bellam Boulevard, including associated side streets, and also along Point San Pedro Road from Main Drive to Riviera Drive, including the accumulation of large, bulky debris; and WHEREAS, employees from many departments staffed the Emergency Operations Center while the men and women of the Public Works, Police, and Fire Departments worked diligently in the pelting rain and high winds to limit the damage, protect lives and speed the clean-up of our public streets and thoroughfares. NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael acknowledge and express their sincere gratitude to William Bundesen for the outstanding service provided during the February, 1998 EI Nino storms. t tr S -2r',TrESTED BN' NIY HAND THIS 6 OF A • , �pa�d RESOLUTION NO. 10039 CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLUTION OF APPRECIA1 PRESENTED TO Earl Boisclair WHEREAS, the forecasts for powerful winter storms caused by the meteorological phenomenon known as EI Nino became a reality when the City of San Rafael experienced several major winter storms during the first weeks of February, 1998; and WHEREAS, on February 2, 1998, the City Manager of the City of San Rafael declared a local emergency because of these storms; and WHF-REAS, area -wide flooding occurred along Francisco Boulevard East from Bay Street to Bellam Boulevard, including associated side streets, and also along Point San Pedro Road from Main Drive to Riviera Drive, including the accumulation of large, bulky debris; and WHEREAS, employees from many departments staffed the Emergency Operations Center while the men and women of the Public Works, Police, and Fire Departments worked diligently in the pelting rain and high winds to limit the damage, protect lives and speed the clean-up of our public streets and thoroughfares.
