RESOLUTION REJECTING BID PROPOSALS FOR CITY HALL
BOILER REPLACEMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, Staff solicited complete Design and Build bid proposals from
suitably qualified contractors; and
WHEREAS, Staff reviewed all the proposals and noted a wide range in the
proposal costs between $30,000 to $80,000; and
WHEREAS, Staff determined that there was a misunderstanding on the amount
of design services required under the proposal for the boiler selection; and
WHEREAS, in order to obtain the required design services, staff recommend that
the City Council reject all bid proposals and retain the services of a Mechanical Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council
does hereby reject all bid proposals for aforementioned project.
I, Jeanne M. Leoneini, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Council of said City held on the 6`h day of April, 1998, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: COHEN, MILLER, PHILLIPS AND MAYOR BORO
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: NONE
