RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF A NEW CHILD CARE CLASSROOM
BUILDING AT PICKLEWEED COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael operates a Child Care Center at Pickleweed
Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the restroom facility at the center is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, the center has expanded to include a preschool program; and
WHEREAS, the program is in need of space to house the preschool program
and expand the afternoon program; and
WHEREAS, a new building with a restroom, will help meet the current needs of
the program; and
WHEREAS, the Child Care Fund is able to purchase the building at a cost not to
exceed $65,000 with accrued reserves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael does approve an expenditure of up to and including $65,000.00 from Child
Care Funds for the purchase of a portable classroom building at Pickleweed
Community Center.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 2nd of February,
1998 . by the following vote, to wit:
