RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROPRIATING $17,000 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997-1998
TO RESTORE MONDAY LIBRARY SERVICE
BY OPENING THE LIBRARY ON MONDAY FROM 1 P.M. TO 9 P.M.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael desires to provide excellent
library services to the community; and
WHEREAS, the Library Board of Trustees and the staff have recommended
restoring Monday library service to the community by opening the Library on Monday
from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the addition of Monday service will
greatly benefit the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby appropriates $17,000 for the remainder of Fiscal Year 1997- 1998 to
restore Monday library service to the community by opening the San Rafael Public Library
on Monday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m..
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular
meeting of the City Council of said City held on Mondav the 20th day of October ,
1997, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
