PHYLLIS HUFFMAN
Phyllis began working as an Administrative Aide for the San
Rafael Police Department in January, 1985, transferring to
the Personnel Department in November, 1994, and in 1997
Phyllis played a key role in turning the Personnel
Department into a Human Resources Department where she
currently works as a Personnel Technician; and
during her many years of service, both in the Police
Department and in Human Resources, she has not only been
known for her excellent work in her own department, but
also for her willingness to assist In areas outside her normal
realm of responsibility; and
Phyllis served as a member of the Employee Recognition
Committee for four years, actively participating in planning
annual events, and currently serves on the Wellness
Committee, Computer Committee, the City Hall Outreach
Committee and the Employee Training Program, developing
and implementing an employee newsletter, and
Phyllis is cheerful, helpful and always wilting to answer the
many questions she receives from City employees; and
Phyllis has also developed excellent computer skills, which
she unhesitatingly shares with her fellow workers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council hereby
designate PHYLLIS HUFFMAN as Employee of the Quarter for the period ending
September 30, 1997, and express sincere appreciation to Phyllis for her dedication
and outstanding service to the City of San Rafael.
