A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF A
CONTRACT. LEASE OR AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
The Recreation Director is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City
of San Rafael a contract, lease or agreement with :
The San Rafael School District to Provide Breakfast Meals for Pickleweed
Park Child Care Preschool Program
a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part hereof.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on MONDAY,the 17TH day of MARCH , 1997 by the following

SAN RAFAEL CITY SCHOOLS
AGREEMENT
This agreement is entered into on this 14th day of February , 1997, between the San Rafael
School District, of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as "San Rafael School District" and
Citv of San Rafael. Pickleweed Children's Center, of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as
Citv-Pickleweed Program.
WHEREAS, Citv-Pickleweed Program has a present need for breakfast service for the
preschool program;
WHEREAS, San Rafael School District is willing to provide such service to Citv-Pickleweed
Proqram on a cost reimbursement basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows:
San Rafael School District shall:
1. Prepare breakfast each school day in accordance with the number of meals requested for that
day.
2. Be responsible for meeting the nutritional standards for breakfast as set forth by the United Sates
Department of Agriculture for the National School Breakfast Program, and also for the
temperature and quality of the breakfasts at the time of service.
3. Present Citv-Pickleweed Program with an itemized invoice the tenth day of each month for the
previous month's deliveries. Breakfasts will be billed at the rate of $1.05 each.
4. Provide Citv-Pickleweed Proqram with a monthly menu.
5. Maintain all necessary records on the nutritional components of the breakfasts and the number of
breakfasts provided to Citv-Pickleweed Proqram and make said records available for inspection
by State and Federal authorities upon request.
Citv-Pickleweed Program shall:
1. Provide San Rafael School District with a school year calendar showing the desired days of
service.
2. Bring children to Bahia Vista School at 8:10 a.m. each service day.
3. Ensure that an adult is available at Bahia Vista School each service day to supervise the children
as they eat.
4. Consult with San Rafael School District ten (10) school days in advance regarding any special
menu request or field trip.

5. Pay San Rafael School District by the end of the following month the full amount as presented on
the monthly itemized invoice.
TERM
This agreement becomes effective this day and will continue through June 12, 1997.
CANCELLATION
This agreement may be canceled by either party upon the giving of thirty (30) days written
notice to the other party.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, San Rafael School District and Citv of San Rafael. Pickleweed
Children's Center have executed this agreement as of the date first written above.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement on the day and
year first above written.
