A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF FIVE (5) UNMARKED POLICE VEHICLES FROM WONDRIES
FLEET SALES IN LOS ANGELES, FOR THE AMOUNT OF $94,541.00.
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Police Department has identified five (5)
unmarked police vehicles which need to be replaced this fiscal year (96/97); and
WHEREAS, section 2.55.260 of the City's Purchasing Policy exempts
cooperative purchase with other agencies, from the competitive bidding
requirements of Chapter 2.55 of the City of San Rafael Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, Los Angeles County satisfied competitive bidding
requirements, and has signed a contract with Wondries Fleet Sales, Inc., Bid #T-
337, and;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City financially to purchase the
above-mentioned vehicles from Wondries Fleet Sales, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE SAN RAFAEL CITY
COUNCIL authorizes the Police Chief to purchase five (5) unmarked police
vehicles from Wondries Fleet Sales in Los Angeles for a total price of
$94,541.00.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on Monday, the 5" day of May, 1997, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Cohen, Heller, Miller, Phillips & Mayor Boro
NOES: Councilmembers: None
