A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) POLICE
PARKING ENFORCEMENT VEHICLE FROM MUNICIPAL
MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT, INC. IN SACRAMENTO, FOR
THE AMOUNT OF $20,305.00
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, The San Rafael Police Department has identified one (1)
police parking enforcement vehicle which needs to be replaced this
fiscal year (96/97); and
WHEREAS, staff has researched the availability of police parking
vehicles meeting City requirements and specifications, and determined
that only one manufacturer can supply a vehicle which meets the
requirements to perform the job; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Maintenance Equipment, Inc. is the sole source
for this vehicle, and
WHEREAS, The bidding requirements for purchasing equipment can be
waived where the source of supply is limited (SRMC 2.55.070)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE SAN RAFAEL CITY
COUNCIL 1. Finds that Municipal Maintenance Equipment, Inc. is the sole source for
the procurement of police parking enforcement vehicles meeting City specifications, and
2. Authorizes the Police Chief to purchase one (1) police parking enforcement vehicle
from Municipal Maintenance Equipment, Inc. in Sacramento for a total price of
$20,305.00.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 5th day of May, 1997, by the
following vote ,to wit:
